You name it and we do it. How good it would feel if you get treated the same way as in your home country? How would you feel if you do not miss your home country taste when you move to a new country? How would you feel if you have a family in the new country waiting for you to come?
These feelings are invaluable. Aren't they? We evolved out of these needs to make these things possible. There are no service providers who do this for students, not for FREE at least.
We help settle the new international students in Canada. We provide them everything and anything they want from day they land in Winnipeg till the day they get satisfied and on their own.
We have partnered with various services providers who play a key role in the services that we provide. We call it the International Students Settler’s Program (ISSP) for the students who come to Canada without any support or contacts.
We try our best to ensure that each student gets proper settling service starting from the information on getting the daily bus tickets to the monthly passes, from moving around places of leisure to places of importance, from locating convenience stores to the multi-brand super markets to save money and many more. We answer all the questions of the students from what food to buy from which shop and which place to choose to buy the winter clothes depending on their needs and budgets. We ensure that everything is covered for the new coming students. Even after the settlement period, if the students need any help, they are encouraged to contact us on the new contact information provided to them and we will see to it.
The day it was
The drive to help people made us start this organization. There was a day when the founder suffered to know things about the Winnipeg. He was lucky enough not to come to Winnipeg harsh winter of winter. But he was not lucky to have friends who could to help him with places to buy winter clothes from. There were days when he was colder than ice just because he did not have proper apparels. He saw so many international students without cars, waiting for the bus, suffering like him and that was the day he decided to help international students the best way he can.
In the month of June'2014, we started with just one employee on ground but a strong board of members of three executives. Since inception, we have tried our best to find out students who are coming to Winnipeg and seek help in settling. We have successfully settled 3 students by now. Though the count is small, we are happy that they are satisfied with the services we have provided to them.
Below mentioned are the services we provide to our students but these are not limited to just what are shown in the list.
Pick up Service – From the moment any student lands in Winnipeg, we provide the pick-up service to take the student to the accommodation.
Food and Meals – We understand that its not easy to land in a new country and find the food that you eat. So, we provide you with the places of food you like. We even take care of your food for day 1 which is on us.
New Phone Connection – We have seen people getting cheated by the cell phone companies and they are sold expensive plans. So, we help you get more options with various service providers to decide from. There are conditions like an international student might not get a cell phone without a credit card or a Canadian photo ID. So, we help students overcome this problem.
Stay – We help students get the accommodation arranged even before they land in Winnipeg. We even have tie up with a hostel group that provides room for students at reasonable rates where the students can start living if they don’t want to invest in the amenities in a rent apartment elsewhere.
Bank Account – It would be great if a student gets the best deal with a bank account and even get a credit card without any security deposit. We even help students to get the best deals to start building their credit score. We even provide consultation on the credit score building and the risks of not paying on time.
City Tour - It does not matter how small a city is if you are new to that place. That is why we even arrange a tour of city for the students so that they can be aware of the city and its whereabouts.
Grocery shopping – It is not a good feeling when you buy a loaf of bread for $5 when your friend does it for $2. This happens to all the new international students in Canada because they don’t know where to buy the things from. We help students to know those places where they can buy same product but by paying a lot less than usually they were paying.
Socialize – We know people in different student groups like countries of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. We even help in making contacts with other students groups like different countries of Africa, Russia, China and many more. (All efforts will be put in place to make connections with other countries if not mentioned in the list)
Consulting – We do not deal just with these materialistic issues to help students settle. We have a strong team to consult students with any kind of problems or issues they come up with even after settling.
